Periocular hygiene

Ocusilver is a preservative-free sterile wipe, made by cotton 100%. Sodium hyaluronate is a key component of the extracellular matrix of most tissues. Thanks to its ability to retain water and its film-forming power, it performs a moisturising and protective action. All components of Ocusilver are useful for obtaining optimal protective and emollient action (chamomile and euphrasia), in full respect of the physiology of the particularly delicate and sensitive periocular area.

Ocusilver is indicated for eyelid and eyelash treatment both in adults and children, also in the presence of secretions resulting from inflammatory and/or infectious phenomena, such as blepharitis and blepharoconjunctivitis of varying nature (also in the presence of skin desquamation). Its use is also particularly valid in the pre and/or postoperative phases of ophthalmic surgery or, in any case, in events resulting from trauma (wounds, abrasions, etc.). Ocusilver is also recommended for daily treatment of the periocular area to remove residues of cosmetic products from the eyelids and eyelashes in people who are predisposed to the onset of blepharitis and blepharoconjunctivitis of varying nature.

Faq

After washing your hands thoroughly, open the sachet and remove the wipe. Apply the wipe to the eyelid area, wiping it gently in order to adequately remove eye secretions and any other kinds of deposit (smog, fine dust and dust, etc.). In case of particularly persistent secretions or occlusion of the lacrimal canaliculus, it is advisable to heat up the sealed packet for a few minutes in warm water (approximately 40°C) and then use the wipe as a warm compress, gently massaging the area. In case of phlogosis, on the other hand, it is advisable to cool down the sealed packet in the refrigerator for a few hours and then apply the open wipe to the eye, keeping it in place for a few minutes as a cool compress.

Ocusilver is a 100% cotton gauze, soaked in 2.8 ml of the following solution: colloidal silver, sodium hyaluronate, chamomilla recutita, euphrasia officinalis, propylene glycol, phenethyl alcohol, PEG-40 castor oil, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, sodium cocoyl wheat amino acids, ammonium glycyrrhizate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, aroma, polysorbate 20, ethylhexylglycerin, water.

Owing to its particular composition, Ocusilver is also suitable for use by contact lens wearers.
